Study the language, literature and culture of Russia and the former Soviet Union

In the Russian program at Williams, you’ll find small, intimate classes that can be tailored to your interests. You’ll supplement your studies with a range of experiences, such as our potluck dinner featuring recipes from across Eurasia and our annual Talent Night where students can perform songs, poetry and skits entirely in Russian. All students are encouraged to consider language immersion programs, Middlebury College’s Russian Summer School, and study abroad in Latvia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the Republic of Georgia, and Armenia.
