Life in the Berkshires

World-Class Culture

    The Clark Art Institute

Set amidst the stunning natural environment of the Berkshires, the Clark boasts an expansive American and European collection—but it’s also a leading international center for research and discussion on the nature of art and art history. This dual mission has made it a collaborative space for living artists and contemporary art historians.

    MASS MoCA

    Jacob’s Pillow

An hour from campus sits “the dance center of the nation” and America’s longest-running international dance festival. Every year, thousands of people from around the globe travel to the festival, which features 50-plus dance companies and 500 free performances, talks and events.

    Williamstown Theatre Festival

The Tony Award-winning Williamstown Theatre Festival (WTF) brings together writers, directors, actors, designers, theatre professionals and audiences for premier performances and immersive experiences. Creative sparks and innovative collaborations naturally follow.

    Barrington Stage Company

Located in nearby Pittsfield, BSC entertains audiences with compelling and provocative performances, provides a platform for new voices and plays, and engages with the community through vibrant and inclusive educational outreach programs.
