Housing and Dining
Make Yourself at Home
We know that food and housing are key to making Williams feel like home—and you’ll find plenty to see and do (and eat) when you live on campus. Sunday Snacks with your first-year entry is a great place to start. Snacks refers to the food being shared and also the gatherings themselves, where you’ll get to know the people you live with and build a community. From there, you and your crew can explore our diverse dining options—both on campus and nearby—and make new connections as you enter our upperclass housing.

First-Year Residence Halls
Housing for first-years features suite-style living and spacious common rooms where you can connect with your entry group—as well as a few fireplaces and even a ballroom for social events.
Frosh Quad
Two mirrored residence halls—Williams and Sage—form the Frosh Quad, a perfect warm-weather spot for playing Frisbee, studying outside or lounging in the sun.

Berkshire Quad
Five halls make up the Berkshire Quad, offering lived-in charm and views of the surrounding purple mountains. Plus, you’ll have easy access to dining, athletics and the local shops and cafes on Spring Street.

Upper-Class Residence Halls
Our student residences for sophomores, juniors and seniors offer something for everyone. Looking for a country kitchen and unique architectural features? Check out Agard House. Want a quick path to the Paresky Center? The four buildings on Greylock Quad might be for you.
Additional Housing
Co-Ops for Seniors
For seniors who want more independence while still living in campus housing, Williams offers several co-ops, including five small houses and one apartment complex.
Nontraditional Students
Students with Advanced Life Experience (SwALE) are age 24 or older and may live with a spouse/partner or child. As a SwALE, you may choose to live in upper-class housing, off-campus apartments provided by the college, or independent off-campus housing.
Transfer students who don’t meet the definition of a SwALE typically live in upper-class housing.
Dining
We pride ourselves on offering a diverse range of fresh and nutritious foods. Grab a healthy bite for lunch at the Fresh ‘n’ Go, indulge in a burger or noodle bowl at Mission Park or visit Lee Snack Bar for a late-night nosh.
