Tuesday, October 15, 2019 is Planning Day!

All events will be in the Paresky Center

9:30–10:00 a.m.
Coffee and breakfast (featuring “plancakes”!)

10:00–10:45 a.m.
Opening remarks led by President Mandel along with representatives from working groups. Maud will also briefly describe the three academic initiatives.

11:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
Workshops with Colleagues: in concurrent sessions, faculty representatives from the working groups and academic initiatives will host discussions for Williams faculty, while staff and student representatives do the same for their staff and student peers, with each meeting in its own location.

12:30–1:30 p.m.
Working lunch: discuss one of six assigned topics with fellow members of the Williams community.

1:30–3:00 p.m.
Workshops for Working Groups and Academic Initiatives: Each group will host a drop-in discussion about their work in one of eleven spaces throughout the building.

3:15–3:30 p.m.
Closing remarks led by President Mandel and end-of-day treats

We’ll also offer four 40-45 minute Design Thinking workshops between 11:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. where mixed groups of faculty, staff and students can explore ways of designing Williams’ future. Space is limited: Express your interest and you’ll be notified if you’re assigned to one of the groups.
