Speaking Center Pilot Spring 2025

This spring, the Writing Center is running a pilot in tutoring for public speaking! Speaking tutors support speaking across the curriculum, from helping you select a topic or figure out your presentation’s structure to determining its argument or practicing it in front of a friendly audience.

Hours: 6-8pm Mondays through Thursdays, and Sundays from 2pm-6pm

Location: Sawyer 429.

To make an appointment on Accudemia: Click “Login” on the bottom left and sign on using your Williams credentials. Then choose “Tutoring in Public Speaking” and follow the directions to select your class and choose the time you’d like to be seen. When that time comes, head over to the Writing Center Meeting Room on the fourth floor of Sawyer Library (room 429). You’ll find your tutor, a large screen to plug your laptop into if you’d like to practice with slides, and space enough for individual or group sessions.

Please note: the Speaking Center does not work with students practicing for interviews; reach out to the Career Center for this support.
