The Environmental Studies Program engages students with nationally and internationally known scholars in the field of environmental studies through our Class of 1960 Scholars program.
Through this program, we invite speakers to campus to give a public lecture (to which students and classes are invited) and to meet with students during their campus visit.
We do not have a cohort of students who are Class of 1960 Scholars; rather, for each visiting scholar, we broadly invite students with relevant interests to engage. Therefore, you will not see an application to join an Environmental Studies Class of 1960 Scholars program; instead, information will be disseminated through Environmental Studies classes and our student Google Group and you will have the opportunity to attend the talk and sign up for a meal or meeting with speakers.
