iBerkshires covered the work of Ava Simunovic ’25 and Oscar Newman ’25 in Sarah Gardner’s Environmental Planning class this fall. The two undertook a systematic study of the extent and quality of sidewalks in Williamstown and presented their findings to the Williamstown Planning Board on October 10. They found that two-thirds of sidewalks owned by the town are in good shape, but raised concerns about deficient or nonexistent sidewalks in other areas, especially in lower income neighborhoods.
