  • New York Foundation for the Arts
  • Listing of Auction Houses and Appraisers that Specialize in Photographyfrom the Library of Congress.
  • Art-Collecting.com lists over 4200 fine art galleries located in the United States by state. “The art galleries featured offer a variety of art including: contemporary art and traditional art fine art, prints, paintings, fine art photography, glass, sculpture, digital and video art, Native American art and other types of visual art. Many of the galleries also offer services like appraisals and framing of artwork.”
  • Museum Employment Resource Center – Provides information on museum studies programs and conferences, as well as museum job listings in the U.S. and abroad.
  • Arts & Business Council of New York Internship Program – “The Arts Management Internship Program is your connection to the arts in New York City! Preference given to African-American, Asian-American, and Latina/o students.
  • Multicultural Undergraduate Summer Internships at the Getty Center – In order to increase diversity in the professions related to museums and the visual arts, the Getty offers summer internships in a variety of programs and administrative departments of the Getty Trust to undergraduates of culturally diverse backgrounds.
  • American Association of Museums – Search for jobs by keyword, category, location, job level. (I put in the criteria entry level, curator, posted within the last 2 weeks and it came up with 128 hits).

  • Association for Research into Crimes against Art (ARCA) is an interdisciplinary think tank/research group on contemporary issues in art crime. This international non-profit organization studies issues in art crime and cultural property protection, runs educational programs, and consults on art protection and recovery issues brought to them by police, governments, museums, places of worship, and other public institutions. They offer a Masters Program in International Art Crime and Cultural Heritage Protection Studies.
