There are many ways to learn more about, and do more with, Asian American Studies at Williams and beyond. We hope your engagement in the field deepens, and that your understanding of Asian American struggles leads to powerful transformations, broadly imagined. 

Some recent Asian American Studies, AASiA, and alumni events include:

  • book talk by sociologist Grace Cho, author of Tastes Like War
  • attendance at the Association for Asian American Studies annual meeting in Long Beach, California
  • discussion and workshop with author, performer, and somatic practitioner Kai Cheng Thom
  • virtual networking sessions and career panels with the Williams Asian & Asian American Network (WAAAAN)
  • Students of Color Panel in collaboration with the Black Students Union (BSU), Native American Student Alliance (NASA), and the Latina/o and Allies Student Organization (VISTA)
  • Asian American Studies Movement (#AASM) photography campaign 
  • workshops on affirmative action, the Williams archives, and Asian immigration in the U.S.
  • Ethnic Studies Teach-In with BSU and VISTA
