Exploring or Declaring the Concentration

Artwork by Jess Hu

Students exploring the possibility of concentrating in Asian American Studies are highly encouraged to speak with the Chair of the Program and, if you’re in an Asian American Studies course, to let the professor know of your interest. We look forward to giving you as much information and support as possible as you explore the program.

Students wishing to declare the Concentration should fill out the Major declaration form in the Spring (there’s a place on the form to declare a Concentration). Before submitting the form to the registrar, students must identify a faculty member in the Asian American Studies Program who can serve as their program advisor. See the program Chair for more info on this process.
