Additional Information for Undocumented and DACA-Designated Applicants

If you're an undocumented student or have Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) status, you're welcome as part of the Williams community. We invite you to apply as a domestic applicant through our need-blind admission process.

Financial Aid for Undocumented and DACA-Designated Applicants

Williams meets 100 percent of demonstrated financial need for all undocumented and DACA-designated students, just as we do for every admitted student, regardless of citizenship or visa status.

Campus Resources for Undocumented and DACA-Designated Applicants

Williams is committed to supporting undocumented and DACA-designated students throughout their time at the college. The following is a list of staff members who can provide resources and offer guidance.

Associate Dean Ninah Pretto advises students on how to seek legal advice from community nonprofit agencies that specialize in immigration assistance and law, and helps students navigate the USCIS website and other resources.

Director of Student Financial Services Ashley Bianchi educates and supports undocumented students and their families during the college application/financial aid process and continues that support during the student’s four-year journey at Williams. Please contact Ashley with any questions about applying for financial aid, affording Williams, or emergency financial aid.

The staff of the college’s Davis Center work with all students, especially those from historically underrepresented and underserved groups, as they engage with complex issues of identity, history and culture, and in support of their academic and co-curricular interests.

Pathways for Inclusive Excellence helps students from underrepresented groups, including undocumented students, find opportunities that help them advance their educational goals.

Director of International Education and Study Away Christina Stoiciu supports DACA students interested in participating in study away opportunities, advises them on support resources available during the financial aid budget process, and works closely with students and their program providers throughout the application and immigration process.

The college chaplains provide emotional and spiritual support and guidance for all students of any faith tradition, as they settle into life at Williams and throughout their years here. The Reverend Valerie Bailey Fischer, Chaplain to the College, is the primary contact person for undocumented and DACA students and their family members.

If you have questions about how to apply as an undocumented or DACA student, please contact Admission Counselor Calen Firedancing.
