Summer Swizzles 2006
In June, Williams-Mystic alumni gathered in Washington, DC and Boston, MA to reconnect to Williams-Mystic and to other alumni in the area. At the offices of the Council for a Liveable World in DC, Director Jim Carlton spoke about current and continuing challenges in tracking and studying introduced species, and at the USS Constitution Museum in Boston, alumni were treated to a private tour of Old Ironsides.
Alumni Weekend 2005
We celebrated our 28th annual Alumni Weekend and groundbreaking ceremony for the new Carlton Marine Science Center on Sept. 17, 2005. Over 200 alumni gathered in the afternoon sun at the building site for the ceremonial digging. Afterward, we gathered for a clambake dinner by the river. A strong thunderstorm and power-outage forced us to hold the evening in "authentic 19th century lighting", but alumni carried on in great spirits, raising a phenomenal $10,400 for scholarship! Thank you to everyone who shared this wonderful weekend with us.
