Steps to Take
There are simple steps that you can take to reduce your impact on the environment, whether you're living in a dorm or in a house of your own, whether you're working in an office or driving down the road.
In addition to the things you can do to reduce your individual environmental footprint, there are ways that you can help your community save energy and other resources:
- Take an active role in helping your friends, coworkers, professors and the administration to reduce their environmental impact. Lead by example, but don't be afraid to ask and encourage people to change their behavior.
- Post your own environmental tips on Willipedia (wso.williams.edu) so everyone can benefit from them. Or send an email to ajohns@williams.edu to have tips posted here.
- Get involved with a campus environmental organization.
- Vote and hold your representatives responsible.
