Trash

Trash at the Pittsfield Resource Recovery Facility

Williams throws away an estimated 780 tons of material every year. Williams' trash is hauled to the Pittsfield Resource Recovery Facility, where it is incinerated. The energy released when the trash is burned is used to boil water, and the steam that is produced is used by nearby Crane and Co. to manufacture paper.
