Carbon Dioxide Emissions

Since 1991, Williams College's greenhouse gas emissions have grown from 21,309 metric tons to 30,621 metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent a year, a 44% increase. Several factors have contributed to the increase in emissions, including increases in building square footage and energy use per square foot. The type of fuels used on campus also have a large impact on total emissions.
