The Williams
College Sigma Xi Chapter has played an active role on the Williams campus
since it was founded as the Sigma Xi Club in 1969. Sigma Xi is a national
society honoring and encouraging research in science. In addition to sponsoring
other events, two lectures are given each year by a Williams College faculty
member from the Science Center. Speakers in 2008 will be David Tucker-Smith
from the physics department and Chip Lovett from the chemistry department.
Titles of talks, dates and location will follow.
