Dear reader, fellow Eph:

You may not have read Laura Christianson and Janna Gordon’s article in the Record concerning the lack of support for community engagement at Williams College. As a member of the Lehman Council for Community Engagement, I ask you to please read their opinion and decide whether or not you would like to support our initiative and bring this to attention to the Williams College Board of Trustees.

“Dear Williams College Trustees:

We, members of the Williams College community, are concerned with the lack of institutional support for student involvement in public affairs and civic life. In order to provide a holistic liberal arts education, Williams College must encourage and streamline academic and extracurricular engagement with local, national, and global initiatives. We, as a College community must invest in preparing students to become active and knowledgeable citizens of the world.
