After graduation, I moved to Somerville, MA and enrolled in a graduate-level
course in the philosophy of mathematics at MIT. I used a revised version of the
term paper for that course as my writing sample for applications to philosophy
Ph.D. programs, and I had the good fortune of being accepted everywhere I
applied. In the fall of this year (2001), I will begin the Ph.D. program in
philosophy at Harvard.

If anyone has any questions about the nitty-gritty business of applying to Ph.D.
programs, I would be very happy to answer your questions. The details are still
very fresh in my mind. Also, feel free to ask questions about the departments
at the following schools: Berkeley, Princeton, NYU, Stanford, Pittsburgh,
Harvard, MIT. I recently visited each of those departments, looked over the
structure of their programs, met with professors, etc. etc., and I would be
happy to let you know what I found.
