Since leaving Williams with a double major in philosophy (modern analytics) and English (mostly comedy in both Shakespeare and modern novels), I've done a couple of really not very related things:

After graduation I went down to Washington DC at the end of the 1992 campaign to work for Democratic campaigns. I ended up helping to run an inaugural ball, did advance for Clinton (no, Monica was after my time...)and finally took a job writing speeches and doing floor strategy in the Senate.

About three and a half years in politics got to be less fun ( after the '94 election...)so I left DC for Chicago, got an MBA (full-time, the only way to do it if you possibly can) and started out in business development. Athough I did some software and internet related work, I've moved into real estate development where the deals tend to be bigger and more strategic and my political experience is helpful. Currently the biggest part of my job is figuring how to structure the financial side of the development, acquisition and sale of retail, residential and office buildings.
