Yes, I would be willing to answer questions from current students.
A year after graduating from Williams, I started a graduate program in physics at the University of California Santa Barbara. I ultimately transferred into the Earth & Planetary Sciences graduate program at Harvard University, where I received my PhD in 2008 with a thesis focusing on the dynamics of climate change. I think my philosophy background has served me well, and I would choose the same major if I could do it again. I'm glad for the critical skills that were cultivated in my philosophy courses, which I find to be important in my research. I would certainly be happy to chat with any fellow Eph about the philosophy major or about making a transition from philosophy into the physical sciences.
