Open enrollment for the calendar year 2010 is fast approaching. With that in mind, now is a good time to give some thought to enrolling in a Flexible Spending Account. If you are not a participant, or you are and would like a refresher, the following link will bring you to the EBS RMSCO Booklet. This literature contains not only an explanation of how flexible spending works, but provides a list of everyday expenses you can pay for with pretax dollars. https://www.myebsaccount.com/Private/EBS_PRODUCTION/Documents/FSA_Enroll_Kit_CARD_2009b_2.pdf For those who currently have Flexible Spending Accounts (MERA and DCRA) now is a good time to log into your account and review your balances. You can access your account by going to the EBS RMSCO, Inc. website at https://www.myebsaccount.com . Please remember your Username is your People Soft identification number with a 99 prefix. Do not use any part of your Social Security Number. Whether or not you are participating in 2009, every individual must physically enroll for each plan year. Watch for the Daily Message in mid November announcing Open Enrollment. There will be instructions on how to set up a MERA and/or DCRA account for the plan year 2010.
