1. Providing students with an intellectual foundation in American foreign policy and grand strategy, as well as a practical understanding of the unique challenges faced by policymakers.
2. Providing students an opportunity to master a subject of great importance and interact with fellow students and several members of the faculty in an intense and intimate academic setting.
3. Developing a set of intellectual and practical skills that will serve students beyond Williams College.4. Identifying opportunities to apply these skills through internships in Washington, DC, research positions at think tanks or other non-governmental organizations or fellowships for graduate studies.

All student expenses will be covered by this program including room, board, course materials, and special events. Students will also receive a $1000.00 stipend.
This program is open to rising Sophomores and Juniors and will run June 13-July 10. Click here for the summer 2010 application. Rolling admissions begin January 4. Applications will be accepted through May 1.
