FINANCIAL AID INFORMATION
Tuition for the 2009-10 academic year is $40,350. College housing, which includes kitchen facilities, is available to first-year students for approximately $5,300. Second-year students normally find independent housing.
A limited number of scholarships covering all or part of tuition are available to successful applicants. Awards are based on the basis of both need and merit, and may include a living stipend. Each matriculated student has the opportunity for four semesters of work-study; for those students who receive stipends, the work-study honoraria are part of that award.
Applicants seeking financial aid must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) with reference to Williams College #002229. FAFSA may be submitted online at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/. This form is easiest filled out once the student or the student’s parents’ tax return for the previous tax year has been completed. Admitted students under 28 seeking financial aid will be asked to complete Williams Graduate Program forms and support the application for aid with copies of current tax returns. Information submitted by the candidate on application and financial aid forms will be held in confidence.
