Lecturer

Masters Degree in the History of Art from the Courtauld Institute of Art in London. Former Deputy Director of Research and Director of Survey, New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission (on staff 1979-1998). Author of Subway Style (2004), Downtown Open House (four self-guided tours of the Wall Street district, 1996-98), Heritage Trails Sitemarkers (40 permanent interpretive markers at historic and architectural sites in Lower Manhattan), Classics of American Architecture: The World Trade Center (1987). Adjunct professor at Pratt Institute (2001), New York University (1995-present). Winner of Rome Prize in historic preservation (1997). Robins has lectured nationally and internationally on New York City history and architecture, and led tours of New York for hundreds of groups.
