Architectural Historian specializing in the architecture of the Italian Renaissance and the Twentieth Century. Author of Sant'Andrea in Mantua, The Building History; Charles Moore, Buildings and Projects, 1949-1986; Memphis: An Architectural Guide; Style Follows Function: Architecture of Marcus T. Reynolds; Drawn from the Source: The Travel Sketches of Louis I. Kahn. Articles include essays on Aldo Rossi and on Venetian architecture and theaters of the sixteenth century. Current project is a book-length study of the architecture of theaters in Italy in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. In addition to ARTH 101, which he has taught for a number years, he has offered a range of courses on architectural history, including "Portraits of Cities," co-taught with Prof. Sheafe Satterthwaite, that featured a section on New York.
