• You have two keys. One is for your room. The other is for the handicap access entrance door located on the side of the house. If you find Elm Tree House locked, use the latter key for entry. The door will not be alarmed.
  
  
• If your key does not seem to fit into the lock, try angling it down first and then putting it into the lock. If the key fits, but does not seem to turn, pull the door toward you.
  
  
• The water is VERY HOT at Elm Tree House. But there is not a lot of it. When showering, be sure to check the water temperature before entering, and take a short shower so others can also enjoy a hot shower.
  
  
• The common phone line is 413-458-1841. Common phones can be found in the hallways on the first and second floors. If you need to be contacted during your stay, provide your callers with this common phone line number. Also, another phone line is in the office and the kitchen. This number is 413-458-9640. You can dial out from any of these lines by using your calling card or credit card.
  
  
• Cell phones work on most areas of the property. There are Sprint and Verizon Towers located in Williamstown, which enhance cellular service from these providers.
  
  
• In the event of emergency or for assistance during the day call Bea Miles, Director for Facilities Services, Facilities, at 413-597-3496 or 413-441-5327 (cell phone).
  
  
• If you need assistance during the night, first contact the Elm Tree House Concierge. If s/he is unavailable, please contact Williams College Security: 413-597-4444.
