From the Williams College Campus

A central point on campus is Hopkins Hall, the College's main administrative building which is located at the intersection of Main St. and Spring St., next to the Congregational Church. From this T intersection, head east on Main St. going toward North Adams. Take a right onto Rt. 43 (a.k.a. Water St.) and follow Rt. 43 South for about 2 1/4 miles. You will see a sign on the left indicating 'Mt. Hope PARK.' DON'T TURN HERE! Proceed another 200 yards along Rt. 43, watching for a sign on the right for 'Mt. Hope Farm.' Make the left turn the sign indicates, pass between the stone pillars and go straight over the bridge. One mile up the driveway is Elm Tree House, a large, red-bricked structure.

From the Williams Inn

The Williams Inn is located at 1090 Main St., at the intersection of Rt. 7 which runs north/south and Rt. 2 which runs east/west. To reach Mt. Hope Farm, follow Rt. 2 (a.k.a. Main St.) East towards the center of Williamstown. This entails driving 3/4 of the way around the rotary in front of the Williams Inn until you make a right onto Rt. 2. Pass the intersection of Spring St. (this is the main commercial business district of Williamstown) and take a right onto Rt. 43 (a.k.a. Water St.). Follow Rt. 43 South for about 2 1/4 miles. You will see a sign on the left indicating 'Mt. Hope PARK.' DON'T TURN HERE! Proceed another 200 yards along Rt. 43, watching for a sign on the right for 'Mt. Hope Farm.' Make the left turn the sign indicates, pass between the stone pillars and go straight over the bridge. One mile up the driveway is Elm Tree House, a large, red-bricked structure.

From the Orchards Hotel

The Orchards Hotel is located at 410 Main Street in Williamstown. Make a left out of the parking lot of the hotel onto Rt. 2 West (Main St.) heading towards the Williams College campus. Shortly after the stoplight, take a left onto Rt. 43 (a.k.a. Water Street). Follow Rt. 43 South for about 2 1/4 miles. You will see a sign on the left indicating 'Mt. Hope PARK.' DON'T TURN HERE! Proceed another 200 yards along Rt. 43, watching for a sign on the right for 'Mt. Hope Farm.' Make the left turn the sign indicates, pass between the stone pillars and go straight over the bridge. One mile up the driveway is Elm Tree House, a large, red-bricked structure.

From the Southwest (Rt. 43 East from Taconic Parkway, NYC)

Follow Rt. 43 East towards Williamstown until you come to blinking red light. This intersection is called "5 Corners." Go straight through the intersection, crossing over Rt. 7. After 5 Corners, follow Rt. 43 for another 2 1/2 miles until you see a white sign on the left hand side marked Mt. Hope Farm. Turn right, pass between the stone pillars, and go straight over the bridge. One mile up the driveway is Elm Tree House, a large, red-bricked structure.

From the West (Rt. 2 from Albany Airport)

Continue on Rt. 2 East toward Williamstown until you come to the T intersection with Rt. 7. Turn right onto Rt. 7 South. 2 miles down Rt. 7, at the blinking yellow light, turn left onto Rt. 43. This intersection is called "5 Corners." After 5 Corners, follow Rt. 43 for another 2 1/2 miles until you see a white sign on the left hand side marked Mt. Hope Farm. From the South (Pittsfield, Mass. Turnpike, Northern Connecticut)

Travel up Rt. 7 North toward Williamstown. At the blinking yellow light, turn right onto Rt. 43. This intersection is called "5 Corners." After 5 Corners, follow Rt. 43 for another 2 1/2 miles until you see a white sign on the left hand side marked Mt. Hope Farm. Turn right, pass between the stone pillars, and go straight over the bridge. One mile up the driveway is Elm Tree House, a large, red-bricked structure.

From the East (Rt. 2, Boston)

As you enter Williamstown, Rt. 2 becomes Main St. Go straight through the stoplight at Cole Ave. and turn left onto Rt. 43 (a.k.a. Water St.). Follow Rt. 43 South for about 2 1/4 miles. You will see a sign on the left indicating 'Mt. Hope PARK.' DON'T TURN HERE! Proceed another 200 yards along Rt. 43, watching for a sign on the right for 'Mt. Hope Farm.' From the North (Rt. 7, Vermont)

Follow Rt. 7 South into Williamstown. At the stop sign where Rt. 7 intersects Rt. 2, turn left onto Rt. 2 (a.k.a. Main St.). You will pass the intersection of Spring St. on your right and the College Chapel on your left. Take a right onto Rt. 43 (a.k.a. Water St.) Follow Rt. 43 South for about 2 1/4 miles. You will see a sign on the left indicating 'Mt. Hope PARK.' DON'T TURN HERE! Proceed another 200 yards along Rt. 43, watching for a sign on the right for 'Mt. Hope Farm.'
