Over the years more and more winter study courses have been developed to help you understand and gain experience in the world of work. Ostensibly academic experiences that require intellectual reflection, research, and writing, many courses are primarily made up of field work. These courses offer a wonderful opportunity for you to gain valuable insight into life in a number of professions.
In the past, those interested in medicine, public policy, teaching, and social service had found a number of options from which to choose. Also, students have the option of creating their own courses through the WS-99 option.
This year the OCC is sponsoring a winter study course that allows students to explore any number of different career paths from arts and entertainment, to advertising and public relations, to journalism and publishing. Information about the complete offerings in this new course will be forthcoming in time for WS registration.
