- To qualify for housing during the summer you must be employed through an internship or have a job paid by the College for a minimum of 20 hours per week for a minimum of five weeks. The cost of $35 per week is deducted from your paycheck, along with the board plan of your choice. Application is due in Facilities by May 1, 2009.

- Metro International - Help Yourself to Housing - "Everything you need to know about looking for and choosing a place to live is in Help Yourself to Housing: the types of housing available in New York City, where to begin your search, decisions you need to make, your legal rights and responsibilities, and where you can get help. We've also included some suggestions on where you can find a temporary place to stay while you look for a permanent place to live."
- NYU Summer Housing - Anyone can live in NYU residence halls during the summer. They provide safe, comfortable, and convenient housing whether you are taking classes, working, or interning in NYC. You must apply and it typically takes four to six weeks to process your application. You can apply and check on the status of your application online. The deadline is March 27, 2009.
- Columbia University - offers housing for non-Columbia students working as interns in the New York metropoloitan area for the summer. Intern Housing is available from May 31st, 2009 – August 8th, 2009. The rate is $3100 for a single room and $2400 for a double room, plus tax. Interns will be granted a full gym membership to the Dodge Physical Fitness Center for the entire 10-week period, included in your housing rate.
- de Hirsch Residence - Student & Intern Housing - Current Rates are $1,550 per month for a large single room; $1,450 for a single room, $1,250 for a double room, $1,150 for a small double room. Residents receive special discount rates to use our comprehensive health and fitness facilities, including a 25-yard swimming pool. ($109/1 month, $179/2 months, $229/3 months).
- Educational Housing Services - "a not-for-profit organization founded in 1987 to provide student-friendly housing to college students and interns 365 days a year. With many convenient locations to choose from, our residences feature 24/7 security, free unlimited local calling, apartment or dorm style, free high-speed Internet, student activities/discounts, lounges, air conditioning, kitchens, color TV with free cable, trained Student Life staff." Seven buildings, rates start at $2,650 for May 31, 2009 - August 15, 2009. **EHS has reduced all Summer 2009 Rates by 20%! Unreal, huh?

- NYCintern.org - "NYCIntern is an initiative featuring apartments that are located in lower midtown Manhattan, across from Macy’s and Herald Square. These luxury apartments include full-time security and concierge services, laundry facilities, dry cleaning services, and more. The location provides convenient access to all parts of New York City. The apartments also have hardwood floors, private bathrooms, air conditioning.
Appliances include a refrigerator, stove, and a microwave oven. Other furnishings include couches, dishes, cookware, rugs, desks, dining table, chairs, beds, and dressers. Bedding and bath linens are not provided. Additionally, because most people use mobile phones, we do not offer phone service in the apartments. However, apartments do have basic cable and high-speed Internet access. If wireless Internet access is desired, interns may purchase their own wireless routers."

North Carolina
- North Carolina State University Summer Intern Housing - The goal of the intern-housing program at NC State University is to provide comfortable, affordable accommodations to meet a wide variety of individual needs for college and university students participating in internships in the greater Raleigh area. Intern housing is available from Wednesday, May 20 - Sunday, August 2, 2009. The cost of intern housing is $21.00 per day. Charges will be calculated based on the length of your stay as indicated on your reservation form. Interns are responsible for their own linen, cooking/eating utensils and cleaning products.
- Queens University of Charlotte Summer Housing - Three miles from uptown (5 - 10 minute drive); directly across from a city bus stop; centrally located in Myers Park, one of the most historic and attractive communities in Charlotte. Available June 1 - August 1, 2009; $100 to $150 per week; nightly rates available. Fully furnished with twin size bed, dresser, desk, and closet; Rent includes utilities, basic cable, local phone service with voicemail, ethernet connection; Microfridge in every room; Free laudry facilities on every floor; Full kitchens on floors 2 - 4 (includes oven, stove, full size refridgerator, large microwaves); Fitness center located on bottom floor of Wireman Dorm; Parking is available in the parking deck located directly behind Wireman Dorm. A $30 parking permit is required and is valid for the entire length of stay.
- UNC at Charlotte Intern Housing - The housing rate covers all costs for room rent, utility charges, cable TV connection, internet connectivity, phone installation and local phone service. Sunday, May 18 - August 9. Please contact Anne Cavett for information about on-campus housing outside these dates. Cost $120.00/week. No deadline, but first round of assignments will be made shortly after April 15, and interns are encouraged to apply before this date. After April 15, assignments are made based on space availability. Intern Housing does fill to capacity. (This information is dated 2008.)
Pennsylvania
- Robert Morris University Summer Intern Housing Program - Summer intern housing is available in the Concord Hall apartments on the RMU campus from May 17, 2009 through August 1, 2009. To be eligible for summer intern housing, individuals must be degree-seeking students at a college or university in the United States or abroad and taking a class or doing an internship / summer employment experience in the Pittsburgh area. Rates are $169/week.
- Villanova University Intern Housing Program - May 24, 2009 through July 31, 2009. Modern, three-story (with elevators), air conditioned, furnished apartment building in a Traditional Philadelphia, stone construction motif offers guests the convenience of easy access to major highways and a train station accessing Center City Philadelphia. The apartments are located next to a campus deli-convenience store, tennis, outdoor basketball and beach volleyball courts and a train station. Rent is $170.00 per person, per week (Sunday – Saturday), along with a one-time, non-refundable $35.00 reservation fee.

- Washington Intern Student Housing - WISH houses interns working for the U.S. Congress, the Supreme Court, the White House and all Federal Agencies, as well as the Smithsonian Museums, the Pentagon, newspapers and media networks, law and lobbying firms, embassies, associations,
non-profit organizations, university programs and more. May 3 - August 22 rates $4540 to $6240; May 10 - August 8 rates $4240 to $5940; June 1 - August 22 rates $3405 to $4680; May 3 - June 27 rates $2670 to $3520; July 1 - August 22 rates $2670 to $3520.
- Rutgers University - Rutgers-in-Washington has created a great list of D.C. housing options that includes dorms, program housing & hostels, and apartments.
- Summer Intern Housing - at The Catholic University of America. The Catholic University of America (CUA) provides summer housing to individuals who are in Washington, D.C., for educational purposes - internships, co-ops, research and educational study. Catholic University is located in Northeast Washington, D.C., on a tree-lined 193-acre campus, approximately three miles north of the U.S. Capitol. CUA is served by the Metrorail Red Line at the Brookland-CUA stop. Rate for check-ins from May 17, 2009 through August 9, 2009: $27-$33 per night. Three weeks stay required.
- Intern Summer Housing Options at George Washington University. "Our University offers a convenient location for exploring and enjoying Washington D.C. We are located in the heart of the Nation's Capital, and are a quick walk or Metro ride (blue and orange lines) from all major monuments, museums, and historical attractions that make Washington D.C. a unique place for your interns and participants to Work, Stay, and Play!" Housing is available beginning May 24, 2009 and ending August 8, 2009, with a minimum five week stay required. Weekly rate is $224 - $343.
- D.C. Housing Guide - The Partnership for Public Service has created a list of neighborhoods, apartments, and sublets throughout the city that are popular areas for college students, recent graduates and young professionals.
