- Attend a Summer Starter workshop to learn about job search process and applying for the $3200 grant available to Sophomores and Juniors
- Attend the Route 2 Sunday Brunch programs at the Williams Inn to explore more options and make contacts for the future
- Search Williams Alumni Database to find advisors who can help you identify summer job leads
- Explore the Route 2 System to find listings of summer jobs and internships
- Consider a new Winter Study course called The Psychology of the Workplace, which places students with alumni sponsors in different work settings across the country
- Look for leadership opportunities within student organizations to test your teamwork and management potential
Summer Two: Real World Exploration!
This summer is an opportunity for you to seriously begin your search for a good career fit. Start early. Take time during Winter Study to explore as many options as possible for the summer. Talk to alumni advisors, reconnect with your career counselor. Continue gathering information about your interests through full or part-time experiences. Carve out regular time in your schedule to attend to your search. Finally, once you’ve started your summer job, raise its value by continually asking for greater responsibility and working to expand your skill set.
