Resources for International Students
Williams international students are encouraged to fully utilize the resources of the OCC. We are happy to meet in individual meetings and during our 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. walk-in hours. International students are presented with a unique set of challenges and opportunities as they consider exploring career options through summer jobs, internships, and employment upon graduation.
U.S. visa and immigration laws are complex and make it difficult, if not impossible, to pursue employment in this country. It is important for international students to become savvy to the latest developments in employment regulations, and be ready to respond to windows of opportunity as they open. The links on this page are intended to provide international students with some of the knowledge they need to make the most of any employment options they have.
Use the links below to access useful resources for international students.
It is particularly important to heed messages from Gina Coleman, Associate Dean. She works closely with all of Williams international students on issues relating to a happy life on campus. She also arranges sessions with experts in immigration law to help students understand the challenges of finding work in the United States. Gina can be contacted by email at gina.m.coleman@williams.edu or
597-4263.
If you would like to improve your writing skills, please contact Joyce Foster, Director of Academic Resources, at joyce.p.foster@williams.edu or
597-4672.
