Named after the College's esteemed patron, Colonel Ephraim Williams, Williams Hall, built in 1911, built in the Giorgian style by the architect Ralph Adams Cram. Along with Sage Hall, Williams forms the north end of the Frosh Quad, home of half of the first year class.
Williams is comprised of six vertical entries, with rooms that vary in size and shape. Common rooms compliment "intimate doubles" (read small... very small, but cozy... very cozy) and suites of common rooms and doubles. Some rooms have mini balconies, good for hanging flags, gazing at stars, or listening to Romeos singing sweet love songs from below...
Bathrooms in Williams are usually single-sex and shared by 4-6 people. Williams is quite close to the new Paresky Student Center, Sawyer Library, and Chapin Hall. And the grassy quad is good for frisbee games, sunning, and studying on one of the picnic tables.
