Residentially Williams College is comprised of four separate neighborhoods, each with approximately a quarter of the student body. Students, faculty and some staff members are each affiliated with one of the neighborhoods. Each neighborhood has a student governance board, 7-10 Baxter Fellows, one Campus Life Coordinator, 6 faculty associates, and over 100 faculty and staff affiliates. As you can see the entire campus is involved!
The Neighborhood System is meant to enhance the already close-knit community at Williams, foster even more opportunities for students, faculty and staff to get to know one another, and encourage diverse programming. Students are integral in making the Neighborhood System a success. With that in mind, The Office of Campus Life encourages everyone to get involved! Enjoy the events! Communicate with your governance board! Spread neighborhood pride! It all makes the Neighborhood System that much better.
We hope this has encouraged and interested you in being an active part of your neighborhood this year. The Governance Boards are already working hard to make sure this year is the best on yet for the Neighborhoods!
Links below will show you information on each of the houses within the four neighborhoods -- Currier, Wood, Spencer, and Dodd.
