The Neighborhood
System
Williams College’s
upperclass student housing is comprised of four
neighborhoods, each with a membership of approximately a
quarter of the student body. Faculty and some staff
members are also affiliated with individual
neighborhoods. Each neighborhood has a student
governance board, 7-10 Baxter Fellows, a Faculty Program
Director, and over 100 faculty and staff affiliates.
The Neighborhood System enhances the close-knit
community at Williams, fosters opportunities for
students, faculty and staff to get to know one another,
and encourages diverse programming. Students are
integral in making the Neighborhood System a success.
With that in mind, we encourage everyone to get
involved! Enjoy the events! Communicate with your
governance board! Spread neighborhood pride!
Follow the links below for more information about each
neighborhood, including floor plans of each building
within that neighborhood.
