Goodrich Hall
Goodrich Hall is the only autonomously student-run
building on the Williams College campus. Once used as a
chapel, Goodrich now enhances student life by offering a
newly designed programmable space to members of the
Williams Community.
The Goodrich Hall Student Manager, in conjunction with
the Assistant Director of Campus Life – Student
Activities, coordinates the use of the space in the
building and oversees all operations, scheduling, and
issues that arise. Visit Williams Room Scheduler at
https://calendar.williams.edu/VirtualEMSProfessional to
reserve Goodrich Hall. A detailed reservation request
needs to be submitted for consideration. The reservation
is not official until a confirmation is returned from
the Student Manager or from the Assistant Director of
Campus Life – Student Activities. Should you need to
contact the Student Manager or Jessica Gulley, the
Assistant Director of Campus Life – Student Activities,
email
studentactivities@williams.edu. While the Student
Manager is responsible for the operations of the
building, Jessica is available for consultation by
emailing
studentactivities@williams.edu.
Goodrich Hall was renovated in the summer of 2008. The
building re-opened for the 2008-2009 academic year with
a new large assembly space for parties, dances, small
musical events, workshops and lectures. The Dance
Program has a home in Goodrich Hall with space designed
for workshops, classes and activities associated with
their program. For more information on the Dance
Program, please contact Sandra Burton by emailing
Sandra.L.Burton@williams.edu.
In addition to the programming space in the building,
Goodrich Hall houses the Goodrich Coffee Bar. The Coffee
Bar is managed by students, run by students and served
the Williams Community. The Coffee Bar sells a variety
of coffees, teas, sodas, fruit and sports drinks as well
as desserts and bagels. The Coffee Bar has extensive
preparation facilities which can brew anything from a
simple cup of coffee to a sophisticated cappuccino or
latte.
