Goodrich Hall is fully handicapped accessible.
The Goodrich Hall Student center encloses 8700 square feet which is
divided into the following spaces.
Harry C. Payne Hall (Great
Room)
The Harry C. Payne Hall (Great Room) is the largest and most versatile of Goodrich's spaces. The room retains much of the look and fell of the original sanctuary room which it replaces. It features a Coffee and Dessert Bar as well as intimate coffee table seating. For large events, these tables can be removed and replaced with additional folding chair seating. Payne Hall is equipped with a sophisticated sound and theatrical lighting system. Features of this system are a 14-channel mixer board, a 9'x12' front projection screen, an elevated stage, and a disco ball. Keeping with the extensive use of e-mail on campus, four e-mail terminals and public phones are also available.
Capacity: 275 people standing - 154 seated (2667 square feet)
Andrew Heineman,
'50 Living Room
The Heineman Living Room is a smaller meeting/study space within Goodrich Hall. The living room may be used as an alternate student study space when Payne Hall (Great Room) is used for large student events. It also doubles as a "green" room for stage performances in Payne Hall.
Capacity: 56 people (840 square feet)
Class of 1973 Student Activities Resource
Center
The Student Activities Resource Center provides an office/workspace for the numerous Williams student groups as well as brings them together in one room to better facilitate communication among the groups. Five high end computer workstations connected to the campus network along with large layout/worktables. A scanner, copier, fax machine, and a laser printer are available. Also included are student group mailboxes, a mail drop, a DA submissions box, student group lockers, and file cabinets. Couch seating around a working fireplace is great for small group planning meetings. The Student Activities Resource Center also contains the office of the Williams College Council. Use of the Resource Center is restricted to campus student group leaders and visitors of College Council.
Capacity: 75 people (1800 square feet). College Council's Office: 18 people.

Jr. & III, '36 & '62 Mezzanine
The Wightman Mezzanine Level is open to the main floor of Payne Hall (Great Room). The mezzanine has six comfortable banquettes that include voice/data connections for laptop computers. In addition to the banquettes there are several couches and armchairs on which students can relax with their favorite cup of coffee. Two e-mail terminals are also present on this level.
Capacity: 81 people (754 square feet)
Dormer Lounge
The Dormer Lounge is perhaps the most intimate space within Goodrich. The lounge offers flexible seating in luxurious couches, sofas, and armchairs. It features a ten foot gothic window that offers a breathtaking view of the western expanse of campus.
Capacity: 20 people (684 square feet)
Coffee Bar
The Coffee Bar is a beautiful copper-covered counter which sells a variety of coffees, teas, sodas, fruit and sports drinks, as well as desserts and bagels. The Coffee Bar has extensive preparation facilities which can brew anything from a simple cup of coffee to a sophisticated cappuccino or latte.
Link to Athletic Complex
The Link serves numerous purposes. Not only does it house vending machines, e-mail terminals, a stairway, and the building's elevator; it also serves as a connection between the student center and the athletic complex. Students can enter the athletic complex through the Link's door which connecting to the second floor of Lasell Gymnasium. Check the hours for access to the athletic complex.
The Bell Tower
The Bell Tower houses the Class of 1998
Bell, which is rung on special occasions. Access to the bell tower
