Research Interests

Research interests include: orthogonal protection schemes for organic synthesis, improved methods of acylation reactions (e.g., coupling reagents, acyl halides, nucleophilic catalysis), and solid phase and solution peptide synthesis. The application of aforementioned to the synthesis of: "difficult peptide sequences", non-proteogenic peptide analogs, and a new classes of peptide based compounds which act as "molecular scissors".
