Each day (except when special events preclude it), one of these valiant carillonneurs climbs the tower to the chamber containing the College's chime of 10 bells -- whose ringing levers challenge even the most intrepid pianist at first. Seven days a week at 12:50, 4 and 7 p.m. (6:50 p.m. on Mondays) they coax melodies to delight and beguile us from 10,762 pounds of bronze-cast by the Meneely Bell Company of Troy, NY and installed in the autumn of 1904.
