Aban Haq '06

Recruited intially through a CDE alumna from Pakistan, Ms. Haq was awarded a Fulbright grant to study at Williams in 2005-2006. She has now returned home and is working as a Financial Sector Specialist for the Ministry of Finance in Islamabad, Pakistan.

Mtchaisi Chikanda '06

Ms. Chikanda joined the CDE from the Reserve Bank of Malawi, where she worked as a bank examiner and knew about the CDE program from discussions with alumni. She was selected as a Fulbright Scholar from Malawi for 2005-2006 and has now returned to her career with the Reserve Bank.

Nematullah Bizhan '06

Dr. Bizhan served as Acting Director General of Budget for the Ministry of Finance in Afghanistan before being admitted to the CDE for study in 2005-2006. After completion of the Williams program, he is now one of seven professionals (three from Williams) working on the Afghanistan National Development Strategy.

Leila Sawaya '06

When identified by the CDE, Ms. Sawaya worked as a bank examiner for the Banking Control Commission of Lebanon's central bank. For 2005-2006, she received a Joint Japan/ World Bank Graduate Scholarship to study at Williams.
