MUS 117(S) Mozart

A study of the musical culture of the late eighteenth century and a look into how Mozart did and did not fit into this world. Class examination of selected Mozartean compositions with emphasis on the listening experience. Two lectures per week. Evaluation will be based on class preparation and discussion, a series of listening quizzes, and a final project.
