CSCI 373(F) Artificial Intelligence
Introduces the state-of-the-art in the field of Artificial Intelligence, which is concerned with the ability to create machines that perform tasks requiring "intelligence." This course includes a survey of current applications in the areas of expert systems, robotics, natural language processing, machine learning, and game playing. The course covers current techniques for solving problems in the field, including knowledge representation, search strategies, planning, and reasoning. A semester project is required. Evaluation will be based primarily on problem assignments, projects, and exams. PROJECT COURSE. Prerequisites: Computer Science 136 and Mathematics 151.
