ARTS 220(S) Architectural Design I

Preliminary instruction in design techniques and drafting with an introduction to architectural theory. Simple design problems will be used to help the student explore form and meaning in architecture. Assignments consist of six to eight design projects requiring drawings and models. Evaluation will be based on quality of design, with improvement taken into account. Lab fee. Prerequisite: ArtS 100 or ArtS 103. Enrollment is limited; permission of the instructor is required. Registration does not guarantee admission to the course.
