RLSP 204 Modern Hispanic Poetry (Not offered 1997-98)

A close study of some of the major poets active in Spain and Latin America since 1930. Emphasis will be given to the works of Lorca, Guillen, Aleixandre, Vallejo, and Neruda, among others. Conducted in Spanish. Evaluation will be based on participation, two short papers, a midterm, and a final exam. Prerequisite: Spanish 105 or higher.
