This course provides advanced training in listening, speaking, reading and writing Japanese, making use of materials such as newspapers and magazine articles and television broadcasts that focus on current issues in Japan. Evaluation will be based on classroom performance, homework, quizzes, a midterm and a final exam. Prerequisite: Japanese 402 or permission of instructor. Enrollment limit: 5 (expected: 2). Class format: three 50-minute classes.
