The Provost is responsible for the College's annual budget and long-range financial planning, and for overseeing the Library, Information Technology, the Williams College Museum of Art, the Science Center, the Office of Admission, and the Office of Financial Aid. The Provost works with other senior administrative staff in developing budgets for departments and offices under their oversight. The Provost is an ex officio member of the Committees on Appointments and Promotions, Priorities and Resources, and the Library. He or she is assisted by the Associate and Assistant Provosts, whose duties include financial planning and record keeping, monitoring department budgets, grants administration, supervising the Student Course Survey, and conducting institutional studies.
