10 Ways to SABOTAGE Your Body-Image


  1. Compare your body to other women, especially to waif-like, computer-enhanced supermodels.

  2. Think that smoking cigarettes will control your weight and make you more attractive.

  3. Try fad diets and mess up your metabolism.

  4. Obsess about what you have just eaten and talk about it -- a definite way to bore everyone around you.

  5. When you really want chocolate, you eat rice cakes or -- ANYTHING but what you really want.

  6. If you eat, you exercise, if you eat, you exercise, if you eat, you exercise......

  7. Always order salad and water on a date because "real women" don't eat.

  8. If your friends are dieting, you should too, because you don't want them looking thinner than you.

  9. Do anything to lose weight because you think you can't be happy until you are thin.

  10. Don't buy new clothes because you are waiting until you get to your "perfect" weight.
