Early Decision

November 15

  • CSS Financial Aid Profile 2010-11
  • CSS Noncustodial Profile
  • Copies of all pages and schedules of parent and student 2008 federal income tax returns and 2008 W-2 forms (send directly to the Office of Financial Aid, PO Box 37, Williamstown, MA 01267). If a U.S. income tax return was not filed, you must submit a signed statement from your parent's employer(s) documenting their income and benefits for calendar year 2008 (January 1, 2008 - December 31, 2008). This should be on the company's letterhead, translated to English, and in the currency in which they were paid.

May 1

  • In February, you will receive communication from the College Board's Institutional Documentation Service (IDOC) providing you with instructions on how to submit your 2009 federal tax forms and any other supplemental forms that may be required. You should send signed photocopies of all pages and schedules of your and your parents' 2009 federal tax returns (including photocopies of all W-2 forms) to the College Board by May 1. If a U.S. income tax return was not filed, you must submit a signed statement from your parent's employer(s) documenting their income and benefits for calendar year 2009 (January 1, 2009 - December 31, 2009). This should be on the company's letterhead, translated to English, and in the currency in which they were paid.
  • If parents hold an interest in a partnership or corporation, copies of all pages and schedules of the 2009 federal business income tax return(s), including all K-1's, must be submitted to IDOC with personal federal income tax returns.
  • IDOC Processing Tips
    All documents should be submitted to the College Board as one complete packet and must have an IDOC cover sheet. Tax returns and the cover sheet must be signed. All documents should display your IDOC ID number (printed on your cover letter from the College Board). Duplicate cover letters and cover sheets are available from the College Board's Institutional Documentation Service (IDOC) website.
    In the case of divorced or separated parents, you may submit your noncustodial parent tax information along with the remainder of your application materials to the College Board. Alternatively, you may forward a copy of the IDOC coversheet to your noncustodial parent and request that he or she submit the requested materials directly to IDOC.

 

Regular Decision (April Notification)
