About Dining Services

Students near Chapin HallDining Services joins with the Williams College community in extending a warm Berkshire County welcome to all. We are a full service dining operation that serves the entire campus community including students, faculty, staff, alumni, parents, and campus guests. Students are our first priority and you will get to know us well during your Williams years. We operate 4 dining halls, Whitmans', the Lee Snack Bar, the Grab 'n Go, '82 Grill, the Faculty House/Alumni Center, Williams Catering, dining services for the Center for Development Economics, the Eco Café, and the Jessica H. Park Mail Room. Each of our operations have their own unique style, but a commitment to "Dining with Pride" is a shared value in our entire department.

Our department has more than 100 employees, all of whom are dedicated to preparing and serving you healthy, nutritious, flavorful meals -- rain, snow, or shine. Our outstanding customer friendly service is a point of pride for everyone in the department. We purchase only the finest ingredients from nationally branded and reputable suppliers. Plus we are committed to buying local, fresh food whenever possible. We are members of Berkshire Grown, and organization which promotes sustainable agriculture.

We offer a flexible system of board plans. The full board plan offers all meals plus the opportunity to enter dining halls as many times as you wish between 7:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. This plan also allows you credit towards purchases in the Lee Snack Bar or the 82 Grill whenever you miss dinner as well as 10 guest meals each semester. The 14-meal plan allows you to take any 14 of the 21 meals offered and 6 guest meals each semester. There is also a 10-meal plan, a 5-meal plan for seniors, and a 50-meal block plan for off-campus & co-op students. All students on board plans may participate in special events such as the annual Harvest Dinner and the Recipe from Home contest.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call the department at 597-2121, or visit our administrative offices in Droppers House at 15 Park Street.
