Daily newspaper (owned by New England Newspapers, Inc.) serving Berkshire County. Offers a small number of summer reporting internships with the newsroom. Applicants should submit a resume and writing sample to the Director of Human Resources.

Inkberry is an independent nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering the literary arts in and around Berkshire County. Through workshops geared towards every level of writer, and a reading series that both brings established writers into our community and promotes local talent, we aim to strengthen connections between writing and life, and create a place where everyone can discover their voice. Volunteers/interns are welcome to contact Inkberry to discuss developing a mutually beneficial work plan.

Local public access station serving North Adams, Adams, and other smaller northern Berkshire Communities. Training and participation in all aspects of television production provided. Students are also welcome to initiate projects.

A for-profit business which publishes a monthly regional magazine for women. The Women’s Times seeks to tell women’s stories and share resources with women in a regional format that respects the fact that women share issues but have varied experiences and don’t all think alike. Interns are given the opportunity to learn how a monthly publication is put together and how a small business operates. Intern work is varied including some administrative tasks, editorial support (dealing with press releases, composing calendar entries, research, reporting) and miscellaneous work in the production/art department.
