2. Intellectual content: Demonstrate the intellectual content of your project; you must explicitly and convincingly argue the intellectual nature of the project. For example, what questions do you pose? What is your hypothesis? How is the project relevant to your educational growth? If it is an internship, what motivates you to pursue it and what do you hope to gain as a result of it? (200 words or fewer)

4. Reading list (Note: a bibliography consisting entirely of websites is not recommended):
a. Identify the readings you have already completed to research your proposal. b. Cite the readings you intend to do during the course of your project.

6. List all courses and/or experiences that provide some foundation for your pursuit of this independent study.
7. Evaluation: The WSC requires a paper of at least ten pages or its equivalent. If you intend to propose a different means of evaluation, describe it here and explain why it would be more appropriate. (Other means could include a performance, a multi-media presentation, showing. However, a daily journal alone is not adequate.)
8. Structure: WSP guidelines require that you be engaged in WSP project activities for a minimum of 26 hours per week. Please outline the structure of your project, program or internship on a week-by-week basis (Week 1, Week 2, Week 3, Week 4, Pre-/Post-WSP is optional).
9. Impact on Williams College resources: What resources or materials will Williams need to provide (e.g., software, equipment, on-campus space, library resources)? Please be as specific as possible.
10. Project expenses: Estimate the costs associated with this project. Keep in mind that money to support projects is not available from the Winter Study Committee or other Departments or Offices on campus.
